Utility Company Incentives:

 Eversource offers charger and wiring upgrade rebates up to $1,500 to customers meeting income eligibility requirements or who live in High Poverty, Low Opportunity areas to help set up EV home charging. These rebates can be put towards the costs of a home wiring upgrade, the purchase of a Level 2 Smart Charger, or used to offset some of the cost of both.  For Eversource details, click HERE

UI now offers up to $1000 for a new EV charger and/or wiring upgrades necessary to install a charger.  For UI details, click HERE

IRS Incentives:

For property you buy and place in service at your main home from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2033, the credit equals 30% of the cost of the property up to a maximum credit of $1,000 per item (each charging port, fuel dispenser, or storage property).

For qualified property placed in service at a business or organization from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2032, the credit equals 6% of the cost of the property up to a maximum credit of $100,000 per item (each charging port, fuel dispenser, or storage property).

Connecticut Incentives: 

In the latest EV Charging Program annual review, PURA authorized several changes to the program, including: 

• Residential single-family customers now have greater flexibility in receiving EV charging and wiring upgrade incentives.  Specifically, customers can now receive up to $1,000 to help cover the cost of an EV charger, wiring upgrade, or both.  Residential single-family customers can also participate in the Managed Charging program and receive up to $120 a year through the Baseline Tier or up to $300 a year through the Advanced Tier.
